Some customers have adapted the Rotec R2800 into a power-plant for their road machines! Here are just some of the bikes on the road today!
John Levey – ‘Blue’
Ollie Staffeld – ‘Lucky 7′
It all started on seeing photos of Chris, Tracy, Ron & Paul at the 2006 Oshkosh Air Show with John Levey’s prototype JRL Cycles Radial Bike; after which I finally decided to pull the trigger and move forward on the Lucky 7 project.
After talking to John over the phone to discuss specs and prices it was clearly evident that he was of great character, so my wife and I flew to the JRL facility and saw his blue prototype after which we were hooked.
It turns out that I am his first order of only 7 choppers that John will be building and as of today he has 4 orders.
I’ve always had motorcycles in my life and I’m a Captain with Presidential Airways so what a better way to mix aviation & motorcycles than with a radial engine. And what an engine it is!!!
I should be taking possession of the Lucky 7 this coming September (2010). I can’t wait!
Best regards, Ollie Staffeld

Russell Ballentine – ‘Radial Hell’
“…its such a pretty motor. This is the sort of motor you just want to buy and hang on the wall.” – Jay Leno.
The day Russell Ballentine bought a 7-cylinder, 2800cc Rotec radial aircraft engine, a dream was born. After acquiring a few more parts and modifying the engine, Ballentine enlisted Jesse James to build a prototype. Thus, the outrageous Radial Hell
